Dr. Emil J.A. Cappetta

 

Dr. Emil John Armand Cappetta was born and raised in Summit, NJ, and later completed his BA degree from the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia. From there, Dr. Cappetta moved to New York City to attend Columbia University, where he received his degree with a concentration in oral & maxillofacial surgery. Afterwards, he received renowned specialty training in oral & maxillofacial surgery at Bellevue Hospital, Manhattan VA Hospital, and New York University’s Medical and Dental centers. There he became chief resident of the OMFS service, and received extensive training in maxillofacial trauma and reconstruction, head & neck cancer, orthognathic and facial cosmetic surgery, dentoalveolar & implant surgery, as well as performing general & sedation anesthesia to both adult and pediatric groups.

Dr. Cappetta is a board certified diplomate of the American Board of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and is also certified in Basic Life Support, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, and Pediatric Advanced Life Support from the American College of Cardiology, as well as Advanced Trauma Life Support from the American College of Surgeons. Additionally, he is involved in the dental and OMFS communities through memberships with local and national groups including the American Dental Association, New Jersey Dental Association, and the American Association of Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons.

Dr. Cappetta is affiliated with having been granted operating room and treatment privileges at Hackensack Meridian Mountainside Hospital, where he serves as an attending surgeon and provides educational lectures and hands-on instruction to his residents.
